the sccucci manucci label has done a fine job of handpicking artists on the rise for their releases to date, collaring the likes of casino times, francis inferno orchestra and toomydisco as well as the odd established name like jacques renault. the labels fourth release forza quattro is still grounded in the disco/house sensibility that has served them so well, though the presence of waze & oddysey demonstrates the sccucci a & r team are willing to deviate. the elusive us pair are in the midst of a hot patch right now with releases already burning on body work and southern fried and plenty more due over the coming months, so their presence here is a real coup. i cant hear you sounds vaguely like a extra bouncy cover of the classic rip groove and definitely ranks alongside their output to date. alongside this the white vinyl ep has tempo traversing contributions from fil lavin, sellouts and deadly sins, with the latters slow and chuggy -dont you know- a particular highlight

techno and house build a strange symbiosis for darlyn vlys, without resulting in typical techhouse. when listening to the two tracks gus and heisenberg you just cant decide between groovy ass shaker and driving techno and you shouldnt! the often surprising development of the tracks combined with sophisticated transitions on the shaky but somehow secure foundation, make this special sound of the frenchman so interesting. the gus remix by affkt! comes as a crème double topping!

the collectable artifact imprint is taking a detour from incendiary and obscure disco re-issues into releasing even more obscure material. mysterious italian electro-wave band cristalli liquidi are featured here with a killer rare italo gem produced by tinto b. surely with forward-looking ambitions, serbian fellow dejan milicevic drops his debut album trust and the purpose with style, non-compromisingly showing us how electronic music has no limits, only heart and soul is needed. he throws a good example how to gather different genres and styles into one great peace of art, one that certainly cant resist giving in without touching our heart.

sometime you cant keep a good remix down, and we certainly felt that with these two beastly versions by two very exciting producers of bass music.
